Description
The 2011 CRE Shiraz is light on body but strong on flavour. Dominated by cherry fruit flavours and subtle oaking. Like all wines, it has gained further complexity with a bit of bottle age. Sensitively oaked, it’s nice and dry on the palate with attractive soft tannins. Drinking well, excellent value at $10/bottle.
Vintage 2011
A cool and wet vintage in the Heathcote Wine Region. The resulting wines are medium body, showcasing a great balance of fruit-driven pepper and vanilla oak tannins.
Traditional Winemaking
Traditional hands-on wine making methods were used at every stage of the process. Low yields, hand picked, and hand plunged fruit in open fermenting vats allow the intense colours and flavour of the fruit to speak for itself. Minimal intervention in the natural processes allows good fruit to become fine wine.
