Paper Jane play The Shiraz Republic Sunday May 26 from 2pm. Two extended sets of exceptional roots music at the incredible Shiraz cellar door Cornelia. First show together after Buck solo WA tour the band will be flexing its capabilities.
Paper Jane, original Central Victorian Americana/Electric Folk band, feature country heartache with tight grooves and uplift harmonies. Paper Jane’s eclectic range of original music reflects their journey and speak with candour about life beyond first loves and happy endings.
We have a brand-new line up which we’re very excited about. Bucky is still out front on guitar and lead vocals with Dom on bass and backing vocals. But we’re now seated firmly on the crisp beat laid down by Michaela Burke. We’re excited to welcome Michaela; the chemistry was immediate and she brings a great pedigree forged over decades in the Melbourne music world. And now on fiddle is (drum roll please Michaela) Scott Jansen. Scott’s diversity from country and rock to gypsy soul colours our songs beautifully and the only way is up with our new combo.
Amongst our established favourites and the odd fun cover, we’re all working hard on
material for our next album, so listen out for the new stuff.
