Wine journal 2010 Shiraz from Shiraz Republic Heathcote

Purchased 150 kg 8 boxes of Shiraz from Brian Spencer Heathcote this batch came from “Best’s old block (2002). It was the first picking of the year. Price $2.17 per kg inc. delivery.

Grapes excellent quality picked less than 20hrs ago.
Filled fermentation vat near full just 150mm from the top

Inoculated with Enofern VQ15 Yeast. 38g/150litres diluted in 380mil of warm 35C water. Wait 20min and add to juice
